The RHS Speech and Debate Team is an extracurricular activity sponsored by Ms. Mandile.  Students can participate in a  speech activity (ie. Dramatic Performance, Original Oratory, Extemporaneous Speaking, etc.) or a debate activity (ie. Lincoln douglas, Policy, Public Forum).  For a complete list of events and their descriptions, see the link above.  The team participates in monthly tournaments, as well as some out of state tournaments.  This year, in addition to the BCFL monthly tournaments, the team plans to attend the Capitol Debate Classic (October 30-31), the Pennsbury Invitational (February 4-6), and the Harvard Invitational (February 19-21).  The team also plans to send as many students as possible to the NCFL Nationals tournament (May 28-29) and the NFL Nationals Tournament (June 13-18).  This, however, is contingent upon how successful the students are.
